What precisely does the Council stand to gain? Hoban's carpark,and the Convent privately owned. Castle Street carpark still in Council ownership,but for how long more?
The embalance in trading you speak of is due to lack of proper planning by the Town Council.How many more new businesses does the town need.Mc Greeveys new toy store on the Stephen Garvey road closed after one year, and still vacant.Many first time businneses that opened in Cavendish Lane have gone ,and some units still vacant.Elverys re-location from Moneen Business Park to Bridge Street will bring some life to that end of town again. All going well with Lidi being granted planning permission at Barcastle Ind. Estate will also bring more balance to that part of town.Some cannot have it there way all the time,so spread the balance.
