Ever felt the desolation after Mayo loose an All-Ireland final or feel the eerie morgue like silence outside of Croke Park after such a final. Maybe if you got out more often and took your head out of a book you'd experience 'real life' and you'd realise that sometimes the world does revolve around a football game. The shared connectedness and feelings of joy and pain give you a hunger for life like nothing you'll ever read in a book. So last night rather than 'watch grown men kick a bag of wind' you went to listen to a man blowing wind in a musical Kerry accent about just such men !?!! The irony must be lost on the likes of you! Personally I would've attended both events but live drama beats punditry on most days. |
