I think that it will strengthen the FG vote- if people think that they have a real chance of getting in to government then they want the benefits that will accrue to the leader's home town.

can't see too many people voting labour, to be honest. it's policies are aimed towards more populated areas, and are too wishy washy for the boondocks.
