You missed the point - older people have much greater reason to be contemptuous of Charlie Haughey and his ilk. We paid for their mistakes big time - thousands and thousands each year in tax to pay for stupid election promises that produced a coup-de-etat in 1977 that effectively got their builder-'developer'-brown-enveloper-friends into power. You want Hospitals? - 70% income tax. You want roads? - feck you. You want sewage? - well $hit you for a laugh. You want railways? CHoo! CHoo! You want education? You can have a Brazilian immigrant meat factory worker dosing your Morphine pain killers when next you are terminally ill eh?
