broadband availability

Hi,

Could someone please tell me (if they know), is it possible to get broadband (DSL, Eircom) in the Victoria Place estate in Castlebar (or Foxfield or nearby areas)? Eircom are trying to tell me today that my phone line cannot support it, which I find hard to believe.
