BT in the UK offer a service called "choose to refuse" where one can block calls from certain numbers (and/or "witheld" numbers) dont know if any Irish companies offer a similar service.

If you have one of those phones where you can assign different ringt0nes to different incoming numbers you could just assign a "silent" ringt0ne to the unwanted number.

If you are recieving persistant nuisance calls though you should really go to the police and/or your service provider.
