"with a population of over 50 million, there is only around 2 million DNA profiles held on the database" some facts here, population of the Uk is 64 million people, and the government is removing the majority of people on the data base ( human rights act) as they should not be on it, only those convicted of a criminl offence that carrys a prison term of two years or more will be on this data base, recently a High Court judge suggested all the population should be on it, but this was firmly rejected by the Government and all the oppostion parties as it would be unworkable and against the civil rights of people, already the Uk is the country where nearly every citizen is caught on camera at least 250 times each day, more in the cities, big brother has gone to far here, we are not going to hand over to a police state enough is enough, the Dna base is useful for convicted criminals only and that is where i believe it will serve best
