The last few years i have made a small trip over the border to N.I. and bought good, safe, legal, well made fireworks. These fireworks are made in England and have standards to comply to, and are alot, ALOT safer than some of the fireworks that make it illegally into Ireland every year, black cats etc. Maybe if over the counter, safe fireworks were available there would be less excitement and ooooh factor associated with them. Its rare that you hear of somebody blowing there hand off up north or in england at Halloween, but there is nearly someone every year, some not to far from home, who have accidents with fireworks, mainly because the fireworks kids get there hands on in the south are unsafe!!
