Really the point I was trying to get across, was that I don't think Castlebar weather is suitable for an outdoor rink. Castlebar weather is never really cold enough (for a long period) to sustain a good ice surface, then you have the rain. Indoor rinks have cold pipes under the ice surface which are adjusted as the ice changes, ice melts, or heavy usage. Anyway good luck with the efforts. BTW I live in Canada, visit Castlebar regularly, winter and summer, I never really find the weather cold, just very damp. I know a lot about the freezing conditions needed to keep our outdoor rinks usable and safe.
