It is hardly an Obituaries website, but an forum for an expression of how people feel about events happening around them...death...being one of them.

I do not live in Ireland, and do not keep up with RTE or Irish National newspapers as such. So I certainly find it handy to find out some of the goings on, and then follow a story in the Irish papers if I so choose.

This story has not hit mainstream press here in the UK, even though he lived in London.

It must seem of late that the BB has been paying respects to more people that have moved onto greater things, Ed - a great show of how the BB community felt about one of there own, thankfully this has turned in to a celebration that he is still with us! Katy French and now Christy Hennessey. But go back in time the BB is dotted with notices and respects to people in the local community of Castlebar and further afield.

For a lot of us ex-pats this is a primary source of information on Castlebar, and often Ireland as a whole. Long may it continue.
