Apart from the shape of plugtop you shouldn't have any difficulties. Most equipment nowadays will run on a charger that can take from 100V to 240V AC. The computer itself runs on DC rather than AC. You may have to flick a switch for the Irish 240 voltage range when you come back depending on the kind of transformer/charger you get. Just replace the plugtop with a three pin when you get back.
