I disagree. I don't think Cardinal Connell is trying to protect abusers, and I certainly hope not. I think it is a matter of legal interpretation which is in question here. I hope it won't be a question of "doctors differ and patients die". Likewise, when you go to court, you don't always get justice, you get law.
