I agree wholeheartedly--boxing, martial arts clubs, aerobices, swimming poolc several soccer and gaelic clubs, rugby, tennis, wonderful scenic areas to go walking or hiking--the list is endless of things to do in the town and its surrounds.
I have come across comments like this previously from people in their early twenties who have left and moved to greener pastures. However, once you see these guys getting married and settled down a lot of them can't wait to move back to Castlebar. While moving away is a great experience and very enjoyable you don't have to constantly knock where you came from.
