With good weather promised, I decided to take my family to Turlough Park for the “Féile na Tuaithe” festival. We went last year, enjoyed ourselves but found parking a nightmare so we decided to avail of the shuttle bus which was advertised to travel between Turlough & the Bus Stop every half an hour.
We arrived at 2.40 where a large no of people, with a lot of young children were waiting also. 3 o’clock came but no bus so we waited…..We & most of the others finally called it a day at 3.40 as the little ones were restless & bored from hanging around. During this time, I and a few other persons rang Turlough Museum and spoke with a staff member who won’t be winning any customer relation awards soon. She couldn’t give a monkey’s – no sympathy – all she would say is to write in with any complaints – she gave the impression that she was outside sun bathing & we were disturbing her!
The least we deserve is a public apology or as another parent said she’ll be on to Joe Duffy.
