Sometimes local authorities are a rule onto them selves. I believe that Sligo corporation have deliberatively decided not to put up any road signs in their great city for Castlebar. I think they don't want to advertise directions to their next biggest competitor for the shopping run. Castlebar has as many shops as Sligo and some people would argue its easier to get in and out of castlebar. If you lived in Charlestown where would you prefer to shop...
