I am a former mayo resident having spent the first 44 years of my life there. I had the "pleasure" of returning last weekend after an absence of four years for a brief visit. I could not believe the changes in such a short time. Where has Ireland gone? commercialised, invaded, totalitarian, police run, exorbitant, moral less, I could go on and on and on.
