I think that the reform treaty was designed to benefit Europe not Ireland." Well then I was mislead by our politicans. They and their posters said "good for Ireland". The 1% population argument is flawed, however. Each country, irrespective of population, should have the same number of votes. It is given that each national parliment will serve the interests of its own population and thus voting power should be by country not numbers of people in each country. If China joined the EU under your terms we might as well all become Chinease.
