Yea,another time when I & others went on an excursion with him for serving mass, we ended up in a restaurant in Ballinrobe.We were meant to have a large plate of sandwiches between all the lads but when Fr. Curran & the other adults went into a different room, we ordered chips with everything & said that Fr. Curran would pick up the bill.He nearly dropped when he got it but shrugged it off.For years afterwards,when we met he always joked how he had to hide the bill in case the Archbishop would find out.A great priest - great singing voice - May he RIP
