Well I bought a 220 volt pump a month ago for about $300 and hooked it up first to 110 volts (our common voltage) 15 amps and it kept popping the 20 amp circuit breakers. I then changed the wiring to 220 volts (7 amps) and ran wires of 10 gage. I ran the wires inside the house and have yet to finish. I have a hill and ran 200 feet of 1&1/2 inch and will let you know what happens. It has a big capastor. It has great Starting torch. I must be careful to stay out of trouble. culater
