Wasn't today a bit of a beaut as far as the weather in Castlebar was concerned? Certainly there was heat in the sun today - you could feel it on your skin warming you up - you could almost feel it producing the vitamin D in preparation for the coming winter. And blue skies overhead with just a hint of a cooling breeze so that it didn't all get too overpowering as we got re-acquainted with the old yellow Sol in the sky. Summer arrives just as we reach the equinox - the leaves definitely turning now on the chestnuts and some other trees losing their green too. A touch of Indian summer? Will it continue? Hopefully. Still a lot of moisture in the ground to be dried out.
