Its a great tribute to those thosands of Irish men and women, who fought alongside troops and civilians from the United Kingdom, America, Russia, and commonwealth countries to bring an end to the Nazi tyranny and the millions gassed to death in the death chambers and murdered. My parents left Ireland to work in the factories of the Uk midlands along with thosands of others to help the war effort. The peace park is a tribute to all who died in the two great world wars and all other conflicts since, and it was long overdue to honour the fallen who made the supreme sacrificeof their lives that all might be free
