The problem, besides not lasting as long. They are not ul (united labatory) approved. Everything electrical in the US must be ul approved. They really save money when they last. I fell like buying more. You can't buy them in the US. They keep pushing the mercury filled ones that use about 13 watts. Most things now are made in china. culater
