No delay whatsoever, delighted to report that all according to schedule and within budget. Roof structure has been prepared off site, (that's why you didn't see much activity over the past few weeks), and is now ready to be started. Courts have been prepared and artificial surfaces laid down, and the lights were commissioned just 2 nights ago and a few games of tennis were played. Entrance footpaths have also been completed.
Nets will now be removed again while work on the clubhouse continues to completion stage.
And there's a lot of work going on in the background regarding such matters as deciding interior colour schemes, proper planning and siting of the light meter controls, landscaping,and even official opening celebrations!!
As well as aLll that, a few hops down memory lane to be held in the Pavilion, because that building holds a lot of memories for lots of people. Someone said to me recently, "isn't it a good job those walls don't talk"!
And by the way, we are always looking for a pair of extrs hands, so if you'd like to be involved, you'd be most welcome, just contact any member of the Committee at the Pavilion.
