Since youve mentioned it what on earth are the HSE doing paying rent for people (deserving or otherwise) anyway ?

Isint the HSE supposed to be for treating sick people and the Department of Social welfare (or whatever stupid name they have for it nowadays) supposed to be for giving out money to people (deserving or otherwise) ?

It makes about as much sense as expecting private landlords to do the job of the police....
