And the piece de resistance would be to build a set of islands in Clew Bay from the waste stone 'fill' shifted while levelling the mountain. We could sell the islands on a theme basis - a bit like the ones they are building in Dubai but we could have an island for every county of Ireland (26 or 32 take your pick). Or if there was enough 'fill' we could even have one for every day of the year?

This could get us out of the recession - imagine all those tourists it would attract!
