Did anybody say anything about "halting" or "abandoning"? Just wondering if more could be done to attract a broader range of contributors to the forum. One or two contributors per day doesn't always make for the most exciting bulletins. The Nostalgia Board has often gone several days without a posting. There is a risk that if there is not much happening on the forums that people will less likely to use them as frequently. I don't expect the Castlebar to be another FaceBook, I am sure if those involved in castlebar.ie had such resources at their disposal they could do just as much. The forum is excellent and uniquely Castlebar but I do however fear its demise with the popularity of social networking sites and other forums and would prefer to make stimulate some debate on the subject now while it is still fairly healthy rather than lament its demise later on.
