Like Clockwork tonight (17 Jul 2009) at 10:56 local Cashelbayr time. I saw a big old international space station going right to left, west to east, over Castlebar - emerging from the direction of Croaghmoyle behind us and travelling sedately across the sky and setting somewhere on the Eastern Horizon just a little past Astra's 28.2E geostationary satellite. It was quite high up ~45 degrees+ at its zenith and visible even in spite of the cloud over most of three or four minutes. It dimmed a bit behind the more dense cloud but emerged again at the end. It looked like it was just over Tuam or Claremorris or Balla maybe!

Shuttle too small and too much cloud tonight though to see it a little earlier.
