I'm not a native of Mayo & I really don't mean to be disrespectful but I've always been appalled at the way Mayo Grave Yards are kept. I know there must be some exceptions however in general the graveyards in Mayo are very neglected compared to other parts of the country. I know I'm going to get some abuse for this comment, however I think it's awful for those families who do look after their family graves to have to put up with the weeds & rough paths surrounding the graves. Mayo County Council should look at what other counties are doing in this area.
