You state you have seen a number of not so plesant incidents in a housing estate involving
travellers.Are these travellers settled,or just
visiting.Do you live in this estste.Were these
travellers breaking the law.Was this a once off
incident.You cannot paint any group with the
same brush.If they were breaking the law as a
good citizen your duty was to report the incident.Integration between any groups will
always take time,and will always include a few
bad apples.Many years ago there were no travellers housed in any estate,but with time, and peoples attitude changing for the good many
good families were housed.Most off these families
,and their children now form part off the community they live in.For many years the travellers were denied any chance off proving
there selves.They are children off travellers
now in Secondary schools,and doing quite well.Finally the attitude of some travellers also
needs to change,if they are to be accepted by the community at large.
