To be fair it wasn't just him, Mayo made a few alterations from early on in the second half suggesting that they were going to protect their lead, ya could see this when ronaldson came on and dropped short to disrupt ball between galway players. Also, a few minutes before Galway got their goal Mayo were at the same thing in the far corner with 3 minutes left!! Anyway, they were lucky in the end and did anyone else hear John Maughan on Rte radio saying how we had it in the bag after the second goal!! I thought he would (especially) know that ya can never bet on mayo to close out a game and we nearly didnt! Well done Peadar Gardener.
