Yep. SP2 is a very close approximation to Windows 7. The marketing guys wanted to disassociate the new product with Vista completely as it was written off by many as a failure, hence Windows 7 is Vista with a few bolt-ons, but the code base is essentially the same (as is Windows Server 2008 R2).Could be waiting a long while for Windows 8 I'm afraid.
