Nah, you're right General it's gone too far, I dunno who's doing the moderation these days but they're not living up to their title in being 'moderate' in what they screen and they might as well throw the disclaimer out the window at this stage.

Castlebar.ie is no longer an area in which to involve in healthy discourse about local issues.

I feel sorry that the free speech that once reigned here has had to be curtailed but I for one have stopped contributing items to this page and though I promised to support the site it's gone too far and I find myself logging on less and less.

If you want to blame anyone then blame the litigious cretins that attempted to bring legal action against a voluntary website.

In a way I'm sorry that it survived being shutdown as it's been cut off at the knees.
