I was recently speaking with someone who shelled out serious cash for a house in a very well regarded estate within walking distance of town.

The healthboard have now housed several families in that estate who have very little in common with the existing residents and who are beginning to cause all sorts of problems.

If it can happen in this estate-it can happen anywhere, so why would anyone buy a house in Castlebar (or any other town for that matter) rather than buying a site and building out the country where you would be at least guaranteed a certain amount of peace and quiet?
