I realise this subject has strayed a bit and is now probably more suitable on the other board, but does anyone have the details of this tragedy?
I haven't been to that level crossing for nearly forty years. s there a commemorative stone or plaque at the spot?
The tragedy happened in the sixties, I'm sure of that.
I remember clearly how shocked Castlebar people were at the time.
