The rules for posting here are simple. Firstly you need to read the basic disclaimer which everyone has to agree to when they post on this site. Among the various items it states that you should discuss the topic - play the ball not the man - and refrain from mere insults.
Your deleted post was a simple insult that had absolutely no other addition to the topic under discussion it was a simple attack on another poster - and hence was not published.
We don't like deleting posts and if the poster makes some attempt to contribute at least one point to the thread we do allow some leeway after that especially if it entails an attempt at humour that is relevant in illustrating a point.
'Montrose', you appear to be a new poster here - your last (your fourth?) posting is post number 166,077 here - so you may have to learn the rules of the board that have been established and developed over some time. Your post was not the only one to be curtailed in this particular thread as it is a sensitive topic.
You may also have noticed that your other three posts that actually contributed to the topic under discussion were published as these at least made some point regarding the thread topic. Buit again your argument above should be aimed at the other contributors and not the moderator. So please read the disclaimer. We always welcome new contributors that can add to the 3.5 million hits the site receives each month especially if debating local issues.
Your question above is fine if a bit off topic - but don't be surprised if other people have broadcasting experience too. But more importantly please remember that literally hundreds of people here in town work for a manufacturing company that, inter alia, produces vital vaccines to combat flu - which is the basic topic of the thread.
