Great pictures was out there myself and its almost impossible to get a picture of one in mid flight. The salmon haven't ate now since they entered fresh water most of them would have gone up the moy and into Lough Conn in June. They can't swallow when they go from salt to fresh water. They slowly change colour from a "bar of Silver" to a caustic red, they develop a humped back, and the males grow a heeowage bottom lip. They are getting ready for the spawning fights in December. Once they spawn the majority will die from exhaustion. Mission complete. If some clown did try to kill them and eat them they would develop a rash not too different from VD. So if you see some clown limping around in pain with a mouth full of cold sores, then they probably deserve it. Salmon are a protected species anyone who kills a salmon after the first of October will be jailed. Anyone who kills a salmon without a licence in season will be fined. If you see anyone you suspect of poaching salmon, please contact the police or the north western fisheries board. Phone: 096 22788 or Email: info@nwrfb.com
