If my radiator broke I'd have to pay for it myself. I have to pay my own rent too. I don't have a new car. I don't have a medical card. I never get a handout but if I did I think I'd be somewhat grateful. Yes, I work in the despised public sector. I am not highly paid but I have a very professional approach to my work. Lucy, and all those of you who seem blinded by such ignorant begrudging bitterness towards public sector workers please note: ---- Not all public sector workers are in secure permenant jobs. They don't all get pensions. They do not get benefits like sick leave etc. They are not highly paid. They do indeed often live from hand to mouth. For the most part they just get on with. But they do not have to take the unfounded judgmental abuse from the media and ignorant posts like yours. I could ask you how come you are only skilled enough to earn the minimum wage, but I won't. Don't take your anger out on people who may earn a few euros more per hour than you. People who have to pay their own way for everything, and have very little left at the end of the week. And by the way, if it makes you feel any better, my place of work is absolutely freezing during the winter. Also, my arse is not fat.
