The construction industry killed any chance we had of making the most of the economic boom we were due from 1995 onwards. It, along with banking and corrupt politicians, has landed us in this mess.

The public sector contributes more to society in Ireland that a self-interested and corrupt building sector ever has. And that's in good times or in bad times.

I'm afraid I'm not very good at reading between the lines. I'm finding it difficult enough to make sense of what you've actually typed. Why not make a coherent argument?
