The income was illusory - we are now paying your wages - 'wages' that you earned and spent a few year back but were basically paid for by credit that the taxpayer is picking up the tab for. That is the real drain on the finances - the whole thing was smoke and mirrors - it was not paid for and now you blame the civil service because for the corruption of the politician-builder alliance in the Galway Races Tent. Parlon country has become NAMA land. It's not the gardai or the nurses or teachers or the people handing out cheques to the unemployed that are responsible for NAMA and the economic disaster. The emergency personnel that went to the rescue of people living in the shoddily built apartments in that lost their roof yesterday in Dublin are not to blame. Neither are the people rescuing people from floods responsible. The stupid building on flood plains that went before is obviously responsible for some of the flooding though. But it's civil servants who have to go to the rescue.
