I have to say I was surprised by the 5% up to 30k. I'd have thought anything on the lower tax band should have been ommitted which would have meant harder hits on bigger earners but fair enough to that.

There is supposed to be a radical overhaul of the tax system next year so hopefully there should be some attempt to address the wealth question then. Or maybe they'll fudge it again...
