There are no parking charges in Castlebar on a Sunday in designated parking zones. Normal parking restrictions apply all the time.
However, I wish the Council or the Gardai would do something about the taxis who park (illegally) on the Bosh side of Linehall St at weekends while waiting for a fare. They block the left lane and traffic that has a green light to go left onto Rush Street cannot do so as they have created a new rank for themselves. They appear to park where ever they like without any penalty. They make me sick!
