While the private sector has to accept its share of blame for the mess of the country at the minute, the inefficiencies and out-date work practices public sector has been a drain on the country for years, but unfortunately it is only now that this problem is being addressed, after years of waste, overtime, bench-marking, allowances for this that and the other, sick leave, absenteeism, guaranteed pensions, and lots of other rubbish because so long as the good times were there, these inefficiencies did not surface.

Time to live in the real world, with rest of the people who have lost jobs, taken pay cuts and have to emmigrate.
