I go to the Drummin Wood/Pontoon area quite a lot (winter and summer)and always dismayed by the persistant dumping of all types of rubbish both in the woods and at the beaches. I don't think it will ever change and there is nothing can be done.

Even if the council were to do a weekly clean up it would be as bad the next day - there is just no respect for areas such as these and the are being used as meeting points for young people at night to go drinking etc.

I have also been there shortly after 2 cars were broken into while two families with children were walking in the woods on a sunday afternoon - the windows of their cars were smashed in and items stone from their cars - very disheartening.
