good news story

Well done to John Faherty and his supporters who managed to get the Town Council to support the building of a skate park in the town. They turned up with their skateboards on the night and put a compelling case to the Councillors.

They put in a huge amount of work and had it all researched, briefing us on the costs and all other issues associated with skate parks in other similar sized towns. They really are true youth leaders.

I'm glad the motion was carried and I hope that we can get the monies ring fenced to build it in the shortest time possible
