What a fantastic idea, politics in action, who'da thunk!

Well if you're looking for a financial spin off from such a project you just have to look at organised competitions, people travelling from elsewhere always need accommodation and to be fed & watered.

Plus if some dude out there can get the finance together Castlebar could have an all out skate shop selling all the gear and accessories - so straight off there's more employment - plus all the ancillary businesses that would feed off it - rates for the council, rent for the landlord, esb, accountants, tax man, delivery dudes, etc.
