Why should it "annoy" you that someone with an agenda against something might point at its current or past failings. That would be a pretty apporpriate modus operandi for someone with an agenda against something would it not ?

During your time in Ireland you dont seem to have picked up on the fact that despite the legal penelties for doing so lying on census forms is a national passtime for at least half the population. Just look at the number of people who claim native fluency in a language on the basis of being just about able to string a couple of sentences together in it.
