No, an observation would be based on having observed something.

I would venture through the doors of a licensed premises somewhat fewer than ten times a year.

It's not a case of taking anything out on the catholics- people are entitled to their beliefs and rituals relating to their own brand of deity or otherwise.

I'm merely pointing out the ridiculousness of the State legislating based on those beliefs.

Now, had you any thoughts on that subject, or a related one, or is it just (frankly, substandard) ad hominem you have to offer?
