BRACKLOON-SKELP LOOP WALK- Guided heritage walk, trail - woodland and boreens

Croagh Patrick Heritage Trail Committee are holding a walk on Saturday 25th June commencing at 10.30 a.m.


Meeting place Brackloon N.S. (Just off Westport-Leenane road) parking available.

Croagh Patrick Heritage Trail Committee are holding a walk on Saturday 25th June commencing at 10.30 a.m.

The walk follows Croagh Patrick Heritage Trail through Brackloon Wood & follows minor roads as far as Prospect. It then continues over Skelp and descends to Owenwee bog road at Boleybrian. The walk continues through quiet country road to reach assembly point once more. Walk is approx. 6 miles long and level of difficulty is hard. Walk should take approx. 4 hours including stop for lunch.

Walkers are advised to bring packed lunch and bottle of water (Flask of Tea/coffee optional extra). All walkers should wear good walking boots and suitable rainwear. A high visibility jacket is also advised.
