I reigned in Castlebar today.
There goes the neighbourhood - the old wife tells of 40 days more of my reign to come (never mind 800 years of oppression) after my successful visit to eire during that nice fine spell - and that american darkie fellow visited my subjects too a few days later. Annus Inda K Mirabilus indeed - we could be talking regime change - climate change even - what are the odds on three wet summers in a row?
Bobo Dylan tells us that it's a hard rain that's gonna fall. Randy Newman says Louisiana 1927 tells the story and Led Zeppellin's When The Levee Breaks all give you the idea of what's going to follow a wet St Swithin's Day. And the Atlantic Hurricane Season is in play.
