Well the lollipop lights have been in place since the Acting County Manager had the junction changed to make his commute home easier ;-)
(That's a joke by the way!)
Those lights wouldn't have been cheap to purchase and install, and over the last few days they had to excavate a strip of the road at these crossing points and then they installed raised 'speed bumps' which I guess will be painted at some stage.
So I'd say all in all that there's more than a bot of paint gone into it (which of course might have been a cheaper option).
